Now Hiring: Integrity and Corrosion Specialist in Grande Prairie Area
Responsible For:
- Working with the Operating Unit Staff, the Integrity Management Coordinator and the Chief Inspector to ensure the Integrity Management Programs are implemented, adequate and cost effective for all clients operated pipelines and facilities in the Grande Prairie area.
- Work with the Operating Unit Staff to coordinate and execute the required inspections for all pressure equipment, safety devices and storage tanks.
- Recommending adjustments to corrosion control programs to the Operating Unit Staff based on changes in production rates or other parameters impacting the program.
- Work with the clients Integrity Management Coordinator and the Operating Unit Staff to ensure regulatory inspections are completed in the required time frame.
- Work with the Integrity Management Coordinator and third party service providers to ensure that Cathodic Protection systems are functional and adequate.
- Work with the Engineering Project Managers to ensure Cathodic Protection is installed on new pipelines in the regulatory mandated time frame.
- Work with the Integrity Management Coordinator and the Chief Inspector to ensure that pressure equipment records are accurate and up to date.
- Work with the Operating Unit Staff to ensure that the roles and responsibilities under the Integrity Management Programs are fully understood.
- Work with material, chemical and service providers to implement and modify functionally appropriate integrity and corrosion management programs.
Qualities, Skills & Attributes:
An Engineering Technology Diploma with a C.E.T. designation combined with at least 7 years of experience in corrosion monitoring and prevention or 10+ years of upstream oil and gas industry pipeline, plant or field operating experience with appropriate certification in corrosion and integrity management.
- NACE certification is required.
- Experience in the developing, implementing and managing of corrosion control and monitoring programs.
- Experience in recommending, planning and executing internal inspection programs of pipelines.
- Experience in planning and scheduling inspections of pressure vessels, pressure piping, safety devices and storage tanks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with multi-disciplinary group.
- Strong computer skills including Roughneck, Geoscout, MS Word and Excel, etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
